Awards for Practising Designers

DesignSmart Young Design Talent Awards
(funded under the DesignSmart Initiative of The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region)

The Awards will be granted to two outstanding designers of any design discipline. Each winner will have to undergo two compulsory and consecutive overseas work attachments with sponsorship of up to HK$ 500,000. Each overseas work attachment will last for no less than 6 months.

HKDI Young Design Talent Educational Award
(sponsored by VTC Design Education Fund)

One outstanding designer of any design discipline will be sponsored to undergo one compulsory overseas work attachment for no less than 6 months with sponsorship up to HK$250,000 each.

PolyU School of Design Young Design Talent Educational Award
(sponsored by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University)

One outstanding designer of any design discipline will be sponsored to undergo one compulsory overseas work attachment for no less than 6 months with sponsorship up to HK$250,000 each.

Awards for Design Students

CreateHK Young Design Talent Awards
(sponsored by Commerce and Economic Development Bureau of The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region)

One outstanding design student will be sponsored to undertake design or design-related overseas degree courses with sponsorship up to HK$250,000. The other outstanding design student will receive an opportunity to undertake design or design-related courses at Domus Academy, Milan, Italy and receive a sponsorship of up to HK200,000.

Note: The Judging Panel reserves the right to determine the number of winners of all awards.
