Eligibility

Practising Designers

1. be of age of 30 or below
2. be a Hong Kong permanent resident
3. have at least one year full-time working experience in the design profession
4. submit portfolio of design work and have no less than 10 pieces of work, on top of other certificates/reference materials
5. be nominated by his/her employer or the employing company, a design educational institute, a design or industry organisation, or a design professional

Design Students

1. be of age of 30 or below
2. be a Hong Kong permanent resident
3. be a graduate in academic year 2008-2009 of a 3-year higher diploma or degree course run by a local educational institute#
4. submit portfolio of design work and have no less than 10 pieces of work, on top of other certificates/reference materials
5. be nominated by the local educational institute concerned

# The applicant must possess the necessary qualifications to enroll in design or design-related degree courses after completion of his/her final year study.

Please Note

• The organiser, co-organisers, sponsors and members of the Judging Panel are not eligible to nominate
• Employees of the organiser, co-organisers or sponsors are eligible to nominate or be nominated in their personal capacity as design professionals
• Each nominator may nominate a maximum of three candidates only. Separate nomination form should be used for each applicant

Submission Criteria

1. The nominator and the applicant should complete respective forms online and submit all related portfolio, documents, certificates and reference materials to the organiser.
   
   
2. The online application and nomination forms are available from the website: www.ydta.hk. Please read carefully the Notes on Submission before filling the forms. Application form shall be completed by the applicant. Nomination form shall be completed by the nominator. The applicant and nominator shall submit the online application and nomination form separately to the HKYDTA Secretariat before the submission deadline and submit all related portfolio, documents, certificates and reference materials to the HKYDTA Secretariat before the submission deadline:

3. No application or nomination fee is required.
